Hear one of the leading Czech orchestras in a performance of Dvorak’s much loved 8th Symphony and also Schubert’s lyrical Unfinished Symphony. The orchestra will accompany renowned pianist Mark Bebbington in the ever popular Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor.

We’re offering the chance to win two tickets to hear and see one of pavel_kolesnikovRussia’s finest, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra with Pavel Kolesnikov, piano
 
The concert was on Wednesday 12 October at 7.30pm in Cliffs Pavilion Southend Theatres and will start with Vaughan Williams’ ethereal Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis. This will be followed by the brilliant, young virtuosic Russian pianist Pavel Kolesnikov playing Tchaikovsky’s epic Piano Concerto No. 2.
 
In the second half the orchestra will perform what many regard as Tchaikovsky’s greatest symphony, his Symphony No. 5.

Listen and watch in awe as Holst’s beautiful and mystifying suite The Planets is performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra while a film created in collaboration with NASA is shown on a 24 foot screen above the stage.
